All a matter of personal preference, but between the two I'd pick the M-36 for the same money. Both great guitars. Still, the 000-28 Custom Authentic is even a notch higher in sound quality, IMHO. It is clear, still warm and exceptionally crisp and powerful. It has the power you would associate with the longer-scale OM, and the soulful articulation of the short scale 000.
